Blackheads on Nose
- Where do They Come From? How Can You Get Rid of
Them?
While acne is a
problem all by itself, some people have to also worry
about blackheads on nose. Some consider this to be a mild
form of acne that, like all forms of acne, needs to be
treated carefully. Despite what you may have heard,
squeezing blackheads is NOT the
answer!
What causes this problem?
Blackheads are usually caused by blocked pores.
The oil that blocks the pores combines with the melanin
pigment from dead skin cells and causes an oxidising effect.
While there may be other contributing factors, the main
causes are dead skin cells and excessive oil. This problem
occurs due to eating unhealthy food and not taking proper
care of the skin. If you have problems with blackheads
on nose, they could be caused due to the fact that you
eat too much of the wrong kind of
food.
How can this problem be
treated?
As mentioned above, you should never try squeezing
the blackheads. Also, stay away from extractor tools. They
may seem helpful, but they will only cause damage to the
skin, which will result in a worse skin condition.
Instead of looking for a cure, you need to tackle
the underlying root of the problem through prevention. You
should only use natural skin care solutions that don’t
contain any harmful chemicals. Whatever you do, don’t try
any harsh products, including astringents, on your skin.
This will only make the blackheads on nose problem
worse. If you dry your skin out by using harsh products,
your body will create even more oil to compensate, which
will cause more blackheads to form.
Begin a daily routine of cleaning and exfoliating
to get rid of all the dead skin cells. Only use light
exfoliating masks that won’t cause any damage to the skin.
You will find that a exfoliating mask will keep the pores
from blockages. It’s important to avoid using any product
that contains any of these: alcohol, lanolin, mineral oil,
sodium lauryl sulphate, parabeans, propylene gycol, and
sodium laureth sulphate. These won’t prevent
blackheads on nose at all; in fact, they might even
make the problem worse!
Start eating healthier if you want clearer skin.
Cut down on foods with sugar and fat. By eating healthier,
you will decrease the production of oil, increase moisture
and the production of healthier skin cells. Try to eat less
cooked carbohydrates and avoid red meat. Instead, eat more
vegetables and fruits. Also, cut down on soft drinks and
alcohol and drink plenty of water.
If you like to wear makeup, don’t go overboard
with it. If you can, try to go a few days without wearing
any. If you do wear it, don’t use any with oil, or it will
make the blackheads on nose even worse. Also, it’s a
bad idea to wear makeup if your face is sweating. Always
remove your makeup with a cleanser. There are cleansing
cloths available that make removing makeup an easy process.
You especially need to make sure that you get rid of all the
makeup, dirt, and sweat around your
nose.
